ABSTRACT: The Impact of Career Counseling on Vocational Decision-Making is a critical area of study to understand how guidance services influence students' career choices and paths. This study explored the effectiveness of career counseling in aiding students' vocational decision-making processes. The objectives were: to assess the current provision and quality of career counseling services, to evaluate the impact of career counseling on students' vocational choices, and to identify best practices for delivering effective career counseling. A survey design was chosen to collect detailed data from students, career counselors, and educators, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the impact and effectiveness of career counseling. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants directly involved in or affected by career counseling services. The case study focused on the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, Lagos State. Findings indicated that career counseling significantly influenced students' vocational decisions, improved their understanding of career options, and increased their confidence in making informed choices. It was recommended that vocational institutions should enhance career counseling services by providing continuous training for counselors, incorporating career counseling into the curriculum, and ensuring adequate resources and support for these services.
